Context and background:
Community spaces for young people would play a vital role in the social life of them, and of the whole community as well. But our experience is, that while professional community planning is became more and more accepted and recommended at public spaces, creating a cosy and safety place for young people is still remaining for youth workers – although we are not architects, decorators or designers.
This training course aims to give practical support for youth workers and young people who are thinking about creating their own outdoor community spaces, but don’t know how.
In the previous years at this training course we went through each steps of the process and built an outdoor community space for and with young people of Zalaszentgrót, and then in Orosháza as well.
At the third edition of the training we are invited to go back to Orosháza and help to redesign the surrounding park of a local high school.
